Spiritual Faith in a Physical Realm

Isn’t it fascinating how God, throughout His biblical revelation, teaches us His Spiritual ways in our physical realm.  For instance, Abraham (Abram), who lived in the Chaldean land of Ur, was called by God to, willingly, trust in Him, to leave his family and everything he owned, and travel to an unknown and distant promised land.

We, too, are called by God to, willingly, change our Spiritual outlook and priorities. The Old Testament gives us example after example of proven trust, faith, and obedience; beginning with our father, Abraham. At God’s appointed time, He gave us His New Testament or New Covenant. We are called to trust God, leave our old spiritual values and priorities behind us, and refocus our lives around Jesus Christ and His eternal promised land. We are to put Jesus first and foremost in our minds and hearts. We need to follow His Spiritual ways; not the ways and value system of this sinful world. We need to know and understand that we are not of this world, and that our promised land is awaiting us in eternity with our Lord and Savior.

Believers in Jesus Christ should accept the Spiritual realm as much, if not more, as the physical realm. Even though we don’t comprehend most of God’s creation and its inner workings, we accept it! This same principle applies to the Holy Spirit. When we accept and confess Jesus Christ as the, only, One who can save us from our sins, our sin debt is forgiven and forgotten, our conscience is cleansed, and we are, Spiritually, regenerated (born again) by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. We continue to be sanctified (set apart as holy) as we grow in our reconciled and re-established relationship with Holy God through trust, faith, and obedience in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

There are no human words to describe the unconditional love, grace, and mercy of our Creator. Do you realize that before He created light, the firmament, earth-vegetation-seas, the sun-moon-stars-galaxies, the birds of the air-fish of the sea, all living creatures of the earth and mankind in His image, that our all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present Holy God had, already, decided to ‘ die in our place ‘ to save us from ourselves and to Himself !!!

In Jesus’ name,

Biblical references:

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! Rom 11:33

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Mat 10:37-38

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Rom 12:2

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3

“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?” Jesus answered “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 3:4-9
