In the World, NOT of the World

I was just wondering how many of us, truly, allow Jesus to rule over our lives. When we accept Him, as our Lord and Savior, Lord means He is the Master of our lives. Remember, He ‘purchased’ our souls on the cross. We, now, belong to Him. We no longer are suppose to be living for ourselves; we are to live to God, through Jesus.

The devil has confounded the world we live in through the ‘elemental principles’ of this life. Satan has taught us, from day one, to live for ourselves, be our own god, be prideful in everything we do, work at being, monetarily, successful, and do everything our own way. Basically, he has taught us that the one who dies with the most toys wins.

There isn’t anything this world can offer or give to us that is worth losing our identify as a child of God, and spending eternity in hell. Jesus gives us the free ‘gift’ of eternal life when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. It doesn’t get any better than this! I am paraphrasing the Apostle Paul who said that he considers everything he has ever been taught, and everything he has been successful at as ‘trash’; now that He has Jesus Christ and His gospel message in his heart.

So, where are we in our walk with the Lord? Are we leading Him or is He leading us? Do we worry about everything or do we let Him handle everything? We will experience a whole new meaning of life and live in an inexpressible, daily, peace, if we just give life’s reigns over to Jesus. There is no losing when Jesus, our glorious Creator, keeps us in the palm of His Hand, and guides us through every circumstance, trial, or affliction until He brings us into His eternal presence.

Is Jesus the ‘Master’ of your life?

With thankfulness to our Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name,

Debby Mac Manes, disciple of Jesus Christ <><

  1. Debby, The first words that always come into my mind when I think about your own ministry in God’s world are….”I am so proud of you.” You have heard these words from me before and each time you do….I truly mean them……Bravo, my sweet sister in Christ. Love, Betty

  2. Debby, Excellent, so professionally presented. Well written, including the truth of God’s Word the bible. You not only make beautiful candles, but you are letting you light shine before us and the world. Many blessings, Gina
