The Lamb of God

We have such an awesome God! God has revealed Himself to us since time began in the Garden of Eden. Originally, God spoke, directly, to Adam and Eve and walked with them in the Garden. After sin entered the world, He sent angels, preachers, major and minor prophets, teachers, His priesthood, leaders, judges, and kings; all throughout the Old Testament. After 400 years of silence between the old and new testaments, God sent John the Baptist as His final preparation for His arrival. Finally, at His appointed time, God sent His Son, Jesus the Christ, who left His eternal Throne of Grace and stepped into time as, fully, God and, fully, man in the flesh. He brought with Him the ‘ministry of salvation’ that is documented throughout His Word, and offered Himself as the ‘perfect propitiation’ to free mankind from sin, death, and Satan’s kingdom.

Jesus Christ was the, only, perfect sinless man to walk on earth. The Father’s Holy Spirit dwelt inside of Jesus while He was on earth. Jesus showed us how to communicate, with prayer, through the Holy Spirit to the Father in heaven. So, here we have the Holy Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity consists of three entities; yet all in ONE. In biblical times, two or three witnesses were needed as proof that something was said or a certain event took place. Jesus had the Holy Spirit and His Father as witnesses to all He taught on earth. Since Jesus is, now, every believer’s heavenly Advocate, we pray through His Holy Spirit to the Father in heaven.

Did you ever wonder why Jesus told some people, whom He healed or raised from the dead, not to tell anyone? It was because the miracles He performed were, solely, for validation of His ministry. He did not want the people to focus on the miracles, but to know and understand the Scriptures that tell of His plan of salvation through His death at Calvary. All of the innocent animal sacrifices throughout the old testament lead up to the ultimate innocent sacrifice who is Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Jesus fulfilled the old testament law requirements and began His everlasting new covenant of the SPIRIT as described in Hebrews 10:15-18

And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,

“This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
and write them on their minds,”

then he adds,

“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Unless you accept Jesus as your substitute on the cross at Calvary and His free gift of eternal life, you will be separated from Him, forever. He paid our sin debt, in full, so we could be justified and approach the Holy Father through His righteousness. Your eternal destiny depends on the most important decision you will ever make. Today, you need to make Him your Lord and Savior because we are not promised tomorrow, AND death without Jesus is eternal devastation!

With thankfulness to our Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name,

Debby Mac Manes, disciple of Jesus Christ <><
